Short film featuring retired soccer star Zinedine Zidane for Y-3’s spring/summer 2010 collection.
Y-3’s Spring/Summer 2010 campaign features world soccer star Zinedine Zidane alongside a cast of models all wearing a selection of Y-3’s collection inspired by the power of soccer and the movement of the net. Timed to the upcoming 2010 FIFA World Cup(tm), the campaign celebrates an icon of sports heritage: the team portrait. Filmed & edited by Theo Stanley, styled by Nicola Formichetti and art directed by Doug Lloyd of Lloyd & Co, the film was shot on location in a stark urban setting, with models representing the eight soccer federations sponsored by adidas: South Africa, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Spain, Argentina, France, and Russia.
Danish brand Wood Wood unveiled their spring/summer 2010 collection at Copenhagen Fashion Week earlier this week. As expected from them, the collection showcases a clean but casual preppy look.
I’m a big fan of practically everything that comes from Wood Wood, and they don’t disappoint with this collection.
I don’t remember the last time I woke up in the morning and felt cool and refreshed. Instead, I constantly wake up sticky and irritable. What happened to Vancouver’s mild summers?
I am pretty sure I’m not alone in Vancouver when I say I can not wait to get some rain on this city again.

The past year has been pretty crazy in Vancouver, weather-wise. This past Saturday, we saw summer in full-force, with a freak thunderstorm in the evening that later gave way to an eerie red/orange sky in the city. And, of course, it was also South Africa’s turn for the fireworks show as part of the Celebration of Lights, making for an amazing sight all day in Downtown Vancouver.
I was out camping in Squamish as part of the Bass Coast Project 3-day festival during the weekend. Being camped out in a forest is a little scary during a thunderstorm. The sky was a mustard yellow colour out there post-storm. Very strange indeed.
