A Brief History of Teen Communication.

I love this stop-motion video by Jeremy Fisher:

Stop Motion Title Sequence commissioned for Sex::Tech 2010 conference, showcasing the changes in how teens communicate and start healthy relationships from the 20th century to today.

Some of the earlier, pre-Facebook online teen communication tools were left out (IRC? MSN/AIM? Friendster? Apartment 107??), but cute nonetheless.

Information Architecture – as explained by a dinosaur family.

…[E]ntry for the Explain IA Contest. Shot and directed by Nate Bolt and Kate Nartker at Bolt | Peters. Starring Audrey as “daughter” and Frances James as “mother.” Together, nate & kate make these weird videos for fun as Beep Show.

If a stop-motion animated dinosaur family can’t explain what information architecture is, then I don’t know who can.

“Diamond Head” – U900, Japanese Ukulele Duo!.

This is straight-up awesome. What do you get when you mix a Japanese Ukelele Duo (!) with a crocheted bear (Kumano 900) and bunny (Usagino U)? U900’s adorable stop-motion animated music videos.

Be sure to also check out U900’s Myspace page to see more of their videos. So. F’ing. Cute.

Adland – Creative Circle & coy-com.com.

Here’s a brilliant video done by Coy! to launch the new identity of the Creative Circle awards in the UK.

This short stop-motion film references countless classic advertisements from the past. I think I was able to recall five out of possibly over a hundred ads referenced in the video?

Very entertaining 3 minutes.

Bad Apple stop-motion video.

I don’t really know too much about who made this, but it is amazing. Japanese animation meets stop-motion. I love it.
