Chanel samurai armour by Tetsuya Noguchi.

Made of resin, cashew lacquer, cloth, and glass, this samurai armour was crafted by artist Tetsuya Noguchi as a tribute to French fashion house Chanel.

While I’m not sure how battle-ready this armour actually is, even Lagerfeld himself must be amused.

Fonts.

While I don’t necessarily agree with the inclusion of certain fonts in this piece (Verdana? Really?), who can hate on a laser cut typographic wall art piece? This particular wall art was made by peppersprouts, who sell a lot of other cool handcrafted home decor goods on Etsy.

Epic Misney – Marvel x Disney mashup.

Disney x Marvel mashup

With Disney’s acquisition of Marvel Entertainment Group earlier this year, we were all expecting an all-out war between Warner/DC Comics and the new Disney/Marvel Comics. Instead, T Campbell and John Waltrip envisioned a more in-house battle royale first, resulting in their epic mashup of Disney and Marvel.

The ultimate “Marvel/Disney” mashup, featuring over fifty characters rendered in loving detail by John Waltrip (from a rough blueprint by T Campbell).

11″x17″ prints are on sale for only $14.99 at T Campbell’s online store. May be a little late to get this shipped in time for Christmas, but I want to let you all know that I accept presents all year round. You know, just in case you were wondering.

Zombies x Star Wars.

Zombie Wars

In what could possibly be the coolest thing I’ve seen all week (and it’s been a long week), Star Wars artist Matt Busch recreated classic Star Wars movie posters with a zombie twist. Because with the latest Clone Wars episode, Brain Invaders, featuring clones and a jedi becoming zombies, what could seriously be cooler?

My personal favourite is the above Episode IV: A New Epidemic poster. They’re all pretty sweet though.
